Pattern modifying mutations that occur in pigeons are numerious. Most of you will have seen genes for Grizzle and Spread at work in your birds. You can have color masking factors like recessive-white or recessive-red also effecting the pattern. Then there are mutations that disturb the original pattern (and color), like Splash or Piebald.
