Barless is the only (non-mutated) marking pattern that is truely Rare in Homing Pigeons.
Barless = can occur with any color, producing wing shields with no markings or patterns. (Barless is the least dominant of the 6 patterns.)

The Barless Pattern can occur with any of the 3 main colors. With Blue (a "Blue" or "Barless Blue"), with Ash-Red (creating a "Barless Silver"), and with Brown (a "Brown" or "Barless Brown"). The Barless Brown Homer is the rarest of all color/pattern combinations (excluding modifying genes)
